The portrait is John Mathis Holland from a charcoal drawing done about 1880.  
The other is of John and Missouri taken October 15, 1916 as part of a group 
photo at the celebration of David Samuel Derrick and Pauline Wise Derrick’s 
50th wedding anniversary.  The Derrick family was from Sumter County, near 
Plains.
