Popular Young Couple Quietly Married Sunday Evening. A marriage of interest to their many friends was that Sunday evening of Miss Belle Gurr and Mr. John W. Kennedy. Although the engagement of this popular couple has been an open secret for months the date of the marriage was known only to a few intimate friends and relatives. After taking supper at the home of Dr. L. Lamar with only close relatives present, the young couple went to the Methodist parsonage, where Rev. J.M. Outler united them for all time. They then went to the suburban home of the groom's parents until train time, arrangements having been made for the Central train to stop at Kennedy's crossing to avoid the inevitable shower of rice and old shoes. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy will spend several weeks in Atlanta and Tallulah Falls, after which they will be at home in an apartment at the L.C. Durham home. The groom is one of Dawson's most promising young business men being a member of the warehouse firm of Kennedy & Brim, while the bride has a large circle of friends who wish for them both a long and happy voyage on the sea of matrimony.
