Will of Theodore Newton Killen 01 Aug 1902 Terrell County, GA State of Georgia, Terrell County Last Will and Testament of T. N. Killen I, T. N. Killen of said State and County, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. Item 1. I desire before all things that when I shall depart this life that my soul shall return to the God that gave it, and that my body shall be decently buried. Item 2. In disposing of my property, I desire that all my just debts be paid. Item 3. I give, bequeath, and demise to my wife Caroline V. Killen for and during her natural life or so long as she shall remain unmarried and my widow the following described property: (to wit) The house and lot I now occupy and reside at, at this date, being a portion of Land Lot No. One Hundred and thirty-seven (137) in the town of Bronwood, Ga., bounded as follows: Commencing at the South Corner of my blacksmith shop, extending Northeast 7 chains and 5 links along the South Western Rail Road Right of Way, thence in a North Westerly direction to the back of my garden to the J. N. Childs lot, thence South West to the South Corner of the Childs Lot, thence West for the distance of one acre, thence South West to the Street, and then in a South Easterly direction to the starting point, said lot containing Four (4) Acres more or less, and being the land held under titles from R. C. Martin; together with all the appurtenances thereof - Also the following described property: (to wit) The House and lot situated in the town of Bronwood and known as the Hotel Property, the same being situated on the corner of Johnson and Second Streets and held under titles from G. Willis and G. A. Cole. All the above property to be hers during her natural life or so long as she shall remain unmarried and my widow, After her marriage or death the property to revert back to my estate for the benefit of my children. I also give to my wife Caroline V. Killen the sum of Fifty ($5000) Dollars and one year's support. Item 4. I also desire that my wife Caroline V. Killen shall have sufficient furniture to furnish thoroughly and comfortably one room, and that she shall have all my dining room and kitchen furniture except the silverware, all of said furniture and dining room and kitchen furniture to be held by her for the period of her natural life or so long as she shall remain unmarried and my widow. After her death or marriage to revert back to my estate for the benefit of my children. Item 5. The above bequeaths made to my wife Caroline V. Killen are in lieu of her entire dower. Item 6. I will that all the remainder of my household furniture and my silverware, and all the rest of my estate both real and personal shall be equally and equitably divided among my children: (to wit) Marium Stapleton, Frances Horsley, Varina McMath, and Julia Marshall. Any claims that I may have against J. F. McMath, the husband of Varina, to be brought into account and settlement. Item 7. I desire that the Cemetery or family burying place, near my old homestead, on Land Lot No. One Hundred and twenty-one (121) as now enclosed be kept sacred as a permanent burying place, and that it shall not be deeded away to anyone but shall remain forever sacred for the purpose mentioned. Item 8. I hereby constitute my Grandson N. L. Stapleton Executor of this my last will and testament. This the first day of August, A. D. 1902. T. N. Killen Signed, declared and published by T. N.
