M, D—,XCII (possibly M,DCC,XCII-1792) Shadrach SWEATMAN son of William and Lavina SWEATMAN was born August 10th, 1792 Polly SWEATMAN the Daughter of William & Lavina SWEATMAN was born June 17th, 1793. Patsy SWEATMAN the Daughter of William and Lavina SWEATMAN was born April 17th, 1795 Alford SWEATMAN the son of William and Lavina SWEATMAN was born December 14th, 1797. Sarah SWEATMAN the Daughter of William & Lavinia SWEATMAN was born August 30, 1800. Heziah SWEATMAN the Daughter of William & Heziah SWEATMAN was born April 15, 1786. {State of GA, Thomas Co.-31 May 1845-Lavinia SWEATMAN, age 73, widow of William SWEATMAN, dec’d-served for 12 months in Rev. War preceding the month of April 1782. She married Wm. SWEATMAN 17 August 1787. Her husband died 24 Dec 1835.} (John CARLTON of Thomas Co., GA-10 Jan. 1848-states he is age 72, & has known Wm. & Lavinia SWEATMAN for 52/53 years. That they resided in the State of NC, in Duplin Co. & he knew him after his removal to Georgia.Also a statement by Hardy CARLTON) (State of NC-Duplin Co.- Andrew HURST states he was sheriff in 1816, 1817, 1818, 1819 & 1820; sold lands of William SWEATMAN.) (Duplin Co., NC Court- 16 April 1827-David QUINN appeared before Justice Gibson SLOAN & made oath that William SWEATMAN was a soldier in the Rev. War.) (State of NC-Lenoir Co.-24 March 1827- Ezekiel WHALEY states that William SWEATMAN was a soldier in the Rev. War & served 12 months.)
