Ruth Daisy Cone was born to Warren and Della Cone in Thomas County, Georgia on 
28 February 1900. 

Ruth had 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Her older brother, Grover Cleveland Cone, 
died in 1907 at the age of 19, apparently of Measles. 

She married H.W. McDonald Sr. Their children were Virginia Caroline, John 
Warren, Jewel Della and Henry Webster Jr. Henry Webster McDonald Jr., the
father of the submitter, was born on March 23, 1926.

Henry Webster McDonald Sr. and his wife, Ruth farmed in the Barwick, Georgia 
area.

Ruth Daisy Cone (McDonald) passed away on 5 December 1927, as the result of a 
ruptured valve in her heart, a condition that might have been easily addressed 
today.

Photos of Ruth Cone provide evidence that she was an energetic, self-assured 
individual who looked forward to a full and happy life. Sadly, this was not to 
be.
