Enoch was a nephew of Sugar Forest (1810-1885) a early pioneer of Thomas County. He was married three times. Enoch married first Mary Salter in Laurens County on 9 March 1848 the daughter of Zadoc Salter and Nancy Gainer. Enoch met Elizabeth Roddenberry about 1856 in Thomas County dau of Richard Roddenberry (vol IX) and Nancy Ann Davis. Enoch abandoned Elizabeth before she gave birth to Flavius Augustus “Gus” Roddenberry (1857-1933). Thomas Co., Ga. Superior Court Minute Book 1858., p. 11, Suit for “Trespass for Seduction” Nancy Roddenberry vs Enoch Partin. Complaint filed Dec. 1857 and was settled June 1858. Gus was raised from infancy by his grandmother Nancy Davis Roddenberry, along with her brood of sixteen children Elizabeth died when”Gus” was six months old. Elizabeth Rodden berry was born 13 January 1839 Thomas County and died 27 December 1857 in Thomas County. She was buied in the Roddenberry Cemetery near Metcalf., Thomas County. Enoch and Elizabeth had only one child. 1. Flavius Augustus Roddenberry b. 6/20/1857, m. Georgia Virginia Norwood 27 January 1876 in Thomas County. d. 9/28/1933 in Thomas County “Gus” and Elizabeth are buried in the Friendship Cemetery near Metcalf., Thomas County. They had nine children. Enoch married third Martha A. T. “Toby” Clark 12 December 1856 in Jefferson County., Florida. Dau of Thomas Clark and Sarah ( parents last name unk). She was born12 December 1856 in Jefferson County, Florida and died 1937. She was buried with Enoch at Fredonia Baptist Church Cemetery., Thomas county. They had the following children: 1. Virginia b.. About 1858 in Thomas County, m. W. H. Benton 4 May May 1885 in Thomas County, Georgia. No further records. 2. Eldridge “Bunk” b. 11/11/1859 d. 12/2/1942 in Thomasville., Thomas County. m. Florence Amanda Bond, 30 June 1881, Madison County., Florida. Amanda was b. 5/17/1859 and d. 12/11/ 1937. Both are buried at Fredonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
