Henry and his mother, Isabella Flipper were the slaves of the Reverend Reuben H. Lucky, a Methodist Minister. His father, Festus Flipper was a cobbler and carriage trimmer owned by the slave dealer Ephraim Ponder. 1880 Thomasville, Thomas Co.
