It is surrounded by an old wire fence. It was, I am sure, a beautiful marker in it's day. It is a tall marble monument. The only thing I could make out on the top was LOVE. There was a poem or saying inscribed on the bottom. I could not get inside the fence to clean it off. ----------------------------------------- MARTIN Burial Ground #2 C-5 Patton Church - Ga. 122 THOMASVILLE, Thomas Co. GA. Mrs. Eva Gertrude Martin December 15, 1872 October 10, 1958 The book does not have Mr. Martin listed, however, The above Mr. Martin and this Mrs. Martin are buried less than ½ mile apart. She is buried at the Church according to Craigmiles book. I would think from the close proximity, possibly Mrs. Martin might be connected to Robert Martin.
