DEEDS Book L, Page 137 JOHN GRAY TO TRUSTEES OF BOLD SPRINGS METHODIST CHURCH 2 MARCH 1868 STATE OF GEORGIA, THOMAS COUNTY This Indenture made and entered into this 2nd day of March Eighteen hundred and Sixty Eight, between John Gray, of this County, of the one part, and Joshua Merrill, William McMillan and R. B. McCord, Trustees for Bold Springs Church, all of this county, of the other part. Witnesseth: What for and in Consideration of the Sum of Five Dollars Cash, in hand paid, and receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged the Said John Gray, has bargained, Sold, granted and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain Sell grant and convey unto the Said, Joshua Merritt William McMillan and R. B. McCord, Trustees for the will, benefit and advantage in trust for the said Bold Springs Methodist Church during it's existence for sole and separate use and when it Shall cease to exist, if it should ever, to be disposed of under it's direction a certain tract or parcel of land commencing at a pine sapling at the south west corner of the lot of land #351 in the 17th District of Said County thence running North Thirty Five Yards thence east to the North and South line of the Lot No. (blank) in Said District thence South thirty five yards thence west to initial point: Said tract or parcel of land containing approximately one acre more or less with all the rights members and appurtenances to Said tract or parcel of land in any-wise appertaining and belonging. To have and to hold the hereinbefore-described property to the Said Joshua Merritt, William McMillan and R. B. McCord, Trustees as aforesaid in Trust for the Said Bold Springs Methodist Church as above specified and forever free from the debts liabilities obligation and control of any other person of corporation whatever.
