Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Wood and brother- er, Mr. Henry Wood of Pavo spent last Thursday night with their sister Mrs. Annie Hughes. Miss Lizzie Crawford of Thomas- ville was the week-end guest of Miss Alma Slaton. Mrs. Annie Hughes was the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. T. Redfearn Sun- day. Misses Alma Slaton, Lizzie Craw- ford and Irma Redfearn and Messrs. John Jones, Roy Stokes and Mike Crawford were out walking Sunday afternoon. ------------------- SINGLETARY Mrs. Pliney Braswell and children of Thomasville spent part of last week here with Mrs. Braswell's par- ents, Mrs. and Mrs. T. S. Singletary. Mr. and Mrs. Porter L. Stewart, of near Camilla spent last week - end at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Singletary. Misses Foy McRory and Marie Hale and Mr. Beverly Hale, attended preaching services at Banrett's Creek church last Sunday. Mr. Paul Singletary made a busi- ness trip to Pelham Monday. Messrs. Walter McRory and Har- vey Bass attended to business in Meigs Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Pendergast of the Barnett's Creek community spent the week end with her relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Myrick spent Wednesday in Thomasville shopping. Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Singletary at- tended to business matters in Thom- asville Saturday. Mrs. J. J. Hale and Mrs. Cape Johnson spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Hugh White of Ochlocknee. Mrs. H. E. Waterhouse and baby, Elizabeth, have returned to their home in Atlanta after a very pleas- ant stay of three weeks here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Single- tary. Mrs. Essie Groover of Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Singletary, and two sons of Ochlocknee spent part of Sunday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Singletary and Mr. and Mrs. Dock Maddox. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Braswll spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Braswell of the Chason Community. Mr. and Mrs. Roe Hesters and baby, spent part of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Carlisle of near Meigs. Miss Marie Hale was a Tuesday shopper to Thomasville. Mrs. Harvey Farr of near Ochlock- nee spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wild- er. Mrs. Walter McRory and baby and Miss Erie McRory spent part of Sat urday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Russell Braswell. Master Woodrow Maddox has been on the sick list for the past week but is much improved at this writing. Messrs. Noah Singletary, Dock and Mark Maddox, spent Saturday in the county capital. Miss Theo Jones of Ochlocknee spent a short while with Miss Foy McRory Saturday night. --------------- IONE Miss Thelma Richards of Altha, Fla. has been here on a two weeks visit to her two brothers Messrs.
