Her hat has been patented and is now on the market in Georgia. The hats are manufactured in Thomasville by girls and women and give employment to some fifty workers at present, while the demand is rapidly increasing and Miss Heard and the enterprising manufacturers bid fair to make a big hit and financial success with these hats.
