THOMASVILLE TO OWN LIGHT PLANT
Thomasville voters at a special election the past week voted to incur a debt of 
$30,000 for the purchase of a municipal light and power plant.  The vote 
stood:  For 288;  Against 24.  This is far more than the required two thirds 
majority.

The plant to be purchased is that of the Thomasville Electric Light Company, 
now in operation.  The price paid includes real estate, buildings, poles, 
wires, machinery, etc.  The city will assume control on January 1.
