HOKE SMITH WILL SPEAK HERE TUESDAY NIGHT Nationally Known Orator Will Speak in Behalf of Democratic Nominee at Court House There will be a Democratic rally at the Court House next Tuesday night at eight o'clock at which time former United States Senator Hoke Smith will speak on the national political cam- paign. Ex-Senator Smith who was also a past governor of Georgia is a nationally known orator and the Thomas County Democratic Club is expecting an enormous crowd to hear him at the speaking here. ______________________________ I. B. S. A. Meeting Tomorrow- The I. B. S. A. Bible study will meet at Mr. G. W. Blow's Sunday morning at 10:30. Subject for the study; "Zeal of Christ." A cordial invitation is ex- tended to all. _______________________________ Pastor to Preach at Presbyterian Church The Pastor of the Presbyterian Church Rev. Marshall Woodson, who has been spending his vacation in South Carolina has returned to the City and will occupy his pulpit on Sunday at both services, his morning service being "The Christian Marathon". __________________________________ "A Cure For Snake Bite"Callaway's Subject for Sunday Night. "A cure for Snake Bit" is the sub ject announced for his sermon at the Grand Theatre building Sunday night by Rev. T. F. Calloway, pastor of the Baptist Church. His theme will be based on the incident where the chil- dren of Israel were bitten by the ser- pents in the wilderness. "Mounting as Eagles" is the subject for morning. _____________________________ Barwick Car Stolen ----- Sheriff Gordon E. Davis has offered a reward of twenty-five dollars for the return of a Ford touring car. No 14, - 642,001, Georgia 1928 license tag 209,- 868. The car has a yellow body, with the paint weather beaten. Three Good- year and one Oldfield tires. The car has an outlaw radiator. Persons find- ing the car notify either Gordon E. Davis, Sheriff or R. L. Kingery, of Barwick, owner of the stolen car.
