Casketbearers will be Joshua Bell, Johnny Flowers, Daniel Walker, David B. Gay Jr., Jay Ussery and Hulen Nesmith. Mrs. Gay died on July 22, 2003, at Sunrise Nursing Home. Born on Feb. 18, 1919, in Colquitt County, she was daughter of the late Bessie Crosby Barber and the late John Barber. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gay. She was a homemaker and a member of Emerald Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Ray Gene Gay of Moultrie and David B. Gay of Thomasville; two daughters, Thelma Lorene Weeks of Norman Park and Patricia A. Bell of Moultrie; a brother, Irvin Barber of Kissimmee, Fla.; a sister, Callie Bell Goldinger of Albany; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
