Death occurred while he sat on the front porch of his home talking with one of his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Salem church tomorrow morning at eleven o'clock, conducted by Elder Jennings, of Dawson and Elder D. O. Lewis, of Thomasville, with interment immediately afterward in Salem cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to act as pallbearers, Messrs. K. V. Adas, H. T. Nolen, G. L. Clark, W. G. Terrell, C. L. Kennedy, A. B. Carlton. Honorary pallbearers, will be Messrs. Claude Rountree, D. Roy Hay, Paul Searcy, H. J. Alderman, Henry Jordan and T. R. Lanier. Mr. Daniel was born January 18, 1860 in Brooks county, Georgia, and on Sept. 22, 1878 was married to Miss Mary Baker, of the same county, and she together with several sons and daughters now survive. The children are, Mrs. V. A. Dukes, of Coolidge; Mrs. J. R. Golden and J. L. Daniel, of Thomasville; C. C. and G. W. Daniel, of Pavo; J. F. Daniel of Murphy, near Coolidge; T. J. Daniel of Kenly, S.C.; J. E. Daniel, of Miami and B. L. Daniel, of Umatilla, Fla. There are many grandchildren and other close relatives, the family having a wide connection throughout this section. Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Daniel moved from Brooks to Thomas county where they have since made their home, Mr. Daniel having engaged in farming operations and having been considered one of the most prominent and successful planters of that entire section, where he was regarded as one of the most progressive and substantial citizens. The deceased had been a member of the Pavo Primitive Baptist church for the past 30 years and he was a consistent believer and supporter of the church and its teachings. In the community in which he has lived for well over half a century he was held in high esteem and was a friend and neighbor to many people who have been privileged to know him. His passing removed from this county one of its best known and best liked citizens. Funeral services will be in charge of B. F. Herring, of this city. Additional Comments: Last name is correctly spelled DANIELL. The son J. E. Daniel, of Miami, listed as a survivor should be J. U. Daniell.
