The Rev. Dr. James Spencer officiated. Active pallbearers were Michael Maxwell, Cyrus Brinkley, Art Courtney, Stance Connell, Earl Strickland, Lester Posey, Dave Stewart and Dennis Long. Honorary pallbearers were Dixie Bikers Motorcycle Club. Mr. Maxwell died Sunday, July 13 at his residence. Born May 12, 1950 in Cairo, he was a son of Lucille Singletary Maxwell of Cairo and the late Harry Maxwell. On July 3, 1975, he married Cindy McGee Maxwell of Cairo. He was a lifetime resident of Cairo, member of Cairo Presbyterian Church, supply chain coordinator at Temkin and served in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Cindy McGee Maxwell of Cairo; daughters, Marie Lynn Maxwell, Ashley Ann Maxwell both of Cairo; his mother, Lucille Singletary Maxwell of Cairo; brother and sisters- in-law, Carl and Kathie Maxwell, Melissa McGee Baker all of Cairo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudia and Wilton Dice of Wacissa, Fla., Luann and Eric Clark of Ellijay; nephews and nieces, Wilt Dice Jr., Melissa Dice both of Tallahassee, Fla., Michael Maxwell of Cairo, Lindsay Clark of Ellijay, Brady Baker of Cairo; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Carolyn McGee of Cairo.
