William James Long
Services for William James Long, 20, of Ochlocknee, are at 11 a.m. Thursday, 
July 31, 2003, at Victory Fellowship Church. Pastor Larry Nunnally will 
officiate, with interment at Doerun City Cemetery. Active pallbearers are 
Mikie Powell, Jeff Likins, Heath Barwick, Dante Halabertin, Billy Tillman and 
Ben Edwards. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Raby and Joshua Long. Mr. Long 
died on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was 
born on Dec. 16, 1982, in Valdosta. He is survived by his father and step-
mother, Williiam "Bill" and Janie Long of Thomasville; his mother, Cindy 
Miller of Plano, Texas; a sister, Felicia Long of Fort Stewart; a brother, 
Alex Hartsfield of Pavo; a step-sister, Amber Hopkins of Ochlocknee; step-
brothers, Brooks Hopkins and Chris Hopkins of Ochlocknee; five aunts, Cynthia 
Craig of Washington, Tammie Long of Doerun, Valerie Castleberry of Texas, 
Missie Miller of Lakeland, Fla., and Wanda Self of Tulsa, Okla.; three uncles, 
Waylon Hudsons of Texas, Ricky Ysidron and Joe Ysidron, both of Tulsa, Okla., 
several cousins and great cousins and his girlfriend, Summer Hurst of 
Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James "Gordon" and 
Barbara Jean Carroll of Doerun. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
