Bass Services for Margaret W. Bass, 62, Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Family and Friends Missionary Baptist Church, 400 Colton Ave., Thomasville. Elder David Worthy presiding, Elder James Baker officiating and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Reginald Blalock, Randolph Davidson, Oscar Knolton Jr., Virgil Harvey, Keith Phelps and Ronald Fann. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Walker Sr., Ricky Walker Jr., Ricky Cliett, Decaster Gatling, Morris Walden and Jimmy Walden. Mrs. Bass died July 31 at Archbold Medical Center. Born Aug. 21, 1940 in Beachton, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Annie Lou Walden. She was married to Robert Coleman Bass, a homemaker and a member of New Beulah Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Bass of Thomasville; stepmother, Flossie Walden of Thomasville; daughters, Denise Bass, Karen Knolton, Sharon Fann, Janet and Herman Cason all of Thomasville; a son, the Rev. Randall Bass of Thomasville; daughters, Audrey Bass, Dorinda Waldrop both of Thomasville; a brother, Robert C. Walden of Thomasville; sisters, Emma Jean Ray, Elizabeth and Herman Davis all of Thomasville; brothers, Jimmy Walden of Thomasville, Morris and Tanya Walden of Jacksonville, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Bass will be on view from 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the service with no viewing after the eulogy. The funeral procession will assemble at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at 108 Meadow St., Thomasville.
