Thomasville Times Enterprise - August 3, 2003

Services for Ida Bernice Upton Vick, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m. today at 
Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Gary Milton will officiate, with interment 
at Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons. Mrs. Vick died on Friday, 
Aug. 2, 2003, at Hospitality Care Nursing Center. Born on Jan. 17, 1917, in 
Thomas County, she was daughter of the late George B. Upton and Susie Whiddon 
Upton. On June 9, 1934, she married Luther Guy Vick who preceded her in death 
on July 6, 1997. Mrs. Vick was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist 
Church in Thomasville. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gale 
Vick and Gary Milton and Marie Vick and Pat Christopher, all of Thomasville; 
grandchildren, Ashley Dahlen and husband Rob, Alison Milton, Alex Milton, 
Derek Milton, Matthew Milton and Madison Christopher; and several nieces and 
nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, S.A. Upton and Benjamin F. 
Upton and a sister, Mary Willis. Guests may sign the on-line guest register at
