The Rev. Keith Hill and the Rev. Allan McNabb will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason NeSmith, D. L. Scoggins, Dayne Parramore, David Moncrief, Robin NeSmith and Matthew NeSmith. Mr. NeSmith died Jan. 12 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 27, 1929 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Asa and Carrie Belle Parramore NeSmith. On May 9, 1954 in Thomas County, he married Alice Mae Moncrief NeSmith who survives. Mr. NeSmith was a graduate of Pavo High School, a member of Dillon Road Presbyterian Church and was retired from the City of Thomasville, Utilities Department. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon Clay and Kim NeSmith of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Dennis Scott and Suzanne NeSmith of Molena, Mark Asa and Melany NeSmith of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jason Mark and Meridith NeSmith, Carrie Allison NeSmith, Matthew Scott NeSmith, Andrew Dennis NeSmith and Clayton Cole NeSmith; and a brother, James R. NeSmith of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert NeSmith, Hulen NeSmith; and a sister, Hazel Faye NeSmith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
