Juliette Smith Green

Services for Juliette Smith Green of Thomasville are at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 
22, 2004 at Metcalfe United Methodist Church in Metcalfe. Interment is in the 
Hicks family cemetery in Metcalfe. Mrs. Green died Sunday, Jan. 18. Pallbearers 
are Stephen Smith, J. Frank Smith, J. Frank Smith III, Nicholas Smith, Lee 
Jennings, Greg Jennings and George Franklin Hicks. She was born in Thomasville 
and was the daughter of the late J.E. Smith and the late Julia Hicks Smith. She 
attended Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ky. and was retired from 
Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Metcalfe United Methodist 
Church and former member of the Thomasville First United Methodist Church for 
many years. She is survived by her loving husband, David Green of Thomasville; 
three children, daughter, Julie Saunders and her husband, John of Chapin, S.C., 
daughter, Betsy Sawatzky and her husband, Rob of Vernon, British Columbia, a 
son, Lee Clore of Goose Creek, S.C.; dear brother, Frank Smith of Boston; four 
grandchildren, Stephen Smith of Spartanburg, S.C., Lindsey Smith of Greenville, 
S.C., Colin and Lauren Sawatzky of British Columbia; one great-grandson, 
Stephen Smith III; two stepsons, Lane Green and John Green of Tallahassee, 
Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may 
be made to Metcalfe United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at
