Sadie B. Smith
Services for Sadie B. Smith, 87, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 
Saint Clair Primitive Baptist Church, Cairo. The Rev. Sylvester Williams, 
officiating, and Elder Jimmy Simmons, pastor and interment is in Crestview 
Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Greg Gurley, Michael Smith, Lewis 
Brown Jr., John I. Holt, Brandon Baker and John Young. Mrs. Smith died May 19 
at Grady General Hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1915 in Grady County, she was a 
daughter of the late Joe and Sadie Bell Smith. She attended Grady County 
schools and was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors 
include daughters, Lois S. Gurley of Reno, Eleanor Smith, Jane Lloyd both of 
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Elizabeth (L.J.) Brown of Cairo; a son, Lanis Smith of 
Orlando, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Willie Lee Smith of Fayetteville, N.C.; six 
grandchildren, Greg, Joyce, Michael, Berlisa, Felishia and Jenise; 13 great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews
