Local survivors include his wife, Lizzie Drew of Thomasville; a brother, the Rev. Jasper Drew of Thomasville; a sister, Lillie Mae Banks of Thomasville; a brother, Leroy Drew of Boston; daughters, Linda Lovejoy and Helen Drew both of Thomasville. -- Grooms Funeral Home Thomasville Times Enterprise May 29, 2003 Willie Lewis Drew Services for Willie Lewis Drew, 63, Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Richland Missionary Baptist Church in Boston. The Rev. Henry Mathis, pastor, and the Rev. Estell Arrington, eulogist. Interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Lawrence Ellis, Leroy Pettis, Stanley Cooper, Bruce Conage, Kenneth Cole and Anthony Cooper. Mr. Drew died May 21 at his residence. Born July 12, 1939 in Thomas County, he was a son of Ed and Hannah T. Williams. He was married to Lizzie Mae Gosier Drew. He was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church, worker at the Parramore for 26 years and the city of Coolidge. Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Mae Drew of Thomasville; daughters, Linda Lovejoy, Helen Drew both of Thomasville; sister, Lillie Mae Banks of Thomasville; brother, the Rev. Jasper Drew of Thomasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy (Ona Bell) Drew of Boston, Baddie (Carolyn) Drew of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren, Brandon, Kimberly, Bernard, Melvin, Cameron and Kemaya; sisters-in-law, Lena Gosier of Valdosta, Nicie Glosier of Barwick; sister and brother-in-law, Reather Mae Thurman (Stafford Jr.) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lena McKinnen (Robert) of Barwick; sister-in-law, Vergie Gosier of Boynton Beach; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sam Gosier (Lillie Ruth) of Thomasville, Wesley Gosier (Ada) of Boynton Beach; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Mr. Drew will be on view from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church with no viewing after the eulogy.
