The Rev. Ralph Norman will officiate. Mrs. White died May 20 at her residence. Born Aug. 29, 1942 in Cairo, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. Knight and Doris Wilson Thornton, who survives in Thomasville. She was a 1960 graduate of Thomasville High School and attended Norman Park Junior College. She was a former columnist for Panama City, Fla., New Herald, office assistant for BMA Insurance in Tallahassee, ''storm trooper''/coordinator for National Flood Insurance, legal assistant for The Phipps Firm in Tallahassee, Fla. She also spearheaded the 33rd, 35th and 40th class reunion for the 1960 Thomasville High School class. She was a member of the national board of directors for the March of Dimes and a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church. Other survivors include a daughter, Leigh W. White of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, G. William, Sr. and Peggy Knight; aunts, Jeannette W. Roberts and Doris Knight both of Thomasville and several cousins, nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cpt. Michael P. Knight. Memorials may be made to Thomas County Public Library, 201 N.
