(Big Boy) Lane Services for Edward T. ''Big Boy'' Lane of Thomasville are at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Northside Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Morris Nichols will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are the Thomasville High School coaches, football players and Lady Dogs. Mr. Lane died May 5, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 4, 1920 in Ochlocknee, he was the son of the late Early and Callie Davis Lane. On July 17, 1967, he married Delphy Ricks Lane who preceded him in death. He was a retired forklift operator from Davco and dump truck operator from Dawes Silica Mining. He was a member of the D.A.V. and a member of Thomasville High School One Club, Touchdown Club and an avid Bulldog fan. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kelly Pilkinton of Coolidge; son, Lawson Y. Pilkinton of Hawaii; daughter, Kitty P. Singletary of Thomasville; grandchildren, Page Whittington of Santa Ana, Calif., Danny Singletary of Thomasville, Ramona Drury of Coolidge, Renee Sheffield of Ochlocknee, Scott Singletary of Coolidge, Christina Jones of Virginia, Vonnie Pilkinton of Hawaii, Dana Pilkinton of Cool Springs, Sherri Moore of Thomasville, Pam Pilkinton of Thomasville, Lee Singletary of Ochlocknee, Brad Pilkinton of Coolidge and Avis Pilkinton of Kansas; 22 great grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild; sisters, Willie Glover of Ochlocknee and Alma NeSmith of Hanes City, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Corene Long and a brother, Bobby Lane. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
