James O. "Jim" Souders
Services for James O. "Jim" Souders, 84, of Lakeland, Fla., will be held at 
10:30 a.m. today at Countryside Funeral Chapel in Lakeland, Fla. Interment is 
at Florida National Cemetery. Mr. Souders died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at East 
Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills, Fla. Born Aug, 21, 1918 in Berkley 
Springs, West Virginia and he was husband to Nita Souders, who survives. Mr. 
Souders moved to Lakeland from Eustis, Fla., 16 years ago. He was a regional 
field officer for FEMA for 22 years. He was also a Marine Veteran of World War 
II and Korea, and a member of Crestview Baptist Church, Masons, Elks and 
American Legion. Survivors include sons James O. Souders, Jr. of Denton, Tx. 
and Gregory Souders of Thomasville, Ga.; daughter pamela Rozell of Whitefish, 
Mt.; sister Millie Bell of Pollesville, Md. and five grandchildren. In leui of 
flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Heart Association. -- 
Countryside Funeral Chapel.
