David Daniel McGalliard Sr.
Graveside services for David Daniel McGalliard Sr., Thomasville, are at 11 
a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Salem Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. 
Joe Dunn officiating. Mr. McGalliard died Saturday, June 14 at his residence. 
Born Sept. 8, 1930 in Brooks County, Ga., he was a son of the late Robert 
Thomas McGalliard and Julia Alma Hill McGalliard. He was married to Sondra 
Rogers McGalliard, who survives, on March 13, 1952 in Thomas County, Ga. Mr. 
McGalliard was a member of Salem Baptist Church, served four years in the U.S. 
Army and five years in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired supervisor from 
the shipping department at Flowers Baking Company. Survivors include his wife, 
Sondra R. McGalliard of Thomasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Tim 
Swords of Monticello, Fla., Cindy and Robbie Roberts of Waukennah, Fla.; son 
and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda McGalliard Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; 
sisters, Alma Clem, Dollie Anderson both of Thomasville; three grandchildren, 
Jessie Joiner, Cole Joiner and Cullen Roberts; three step-grandchildren; and a 
number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers. --
