Church, 4072 N.E. Brayton St., Ochlocknee. The Rev. Eddie L. Edwards, pastor, and the Rev. Gary L. Sanders, officiating and interment is in Northside Cemetery in Ochlocknee. Active pallbearers are Marvin Merritt, Jarvis Nixon, Harold Rauls and Karl Fann Jr. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church. Mr. Nixon died Saturday, June 28 at Brian Health and Rehab in Thomasville. Born March 28, 1920 in Ochlocknee, he was a son of the late Sammie Lee Nixon Sr. and Frances Ward Nixon. He was married to Josephine Kimmons Nixon. He was a forklift operator for Waverly Inc. in Ochlocknee, member of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, member of the pallbearer at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church and he attended Ochlocknee public school. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Kimmons Nixon of Ochlocknee; sons, Roddy (Lorene) Nixon of Ochlocknee, Jackie (Sara) Nixon of Thomasville, Donny (Debra) Nixon of Lockport, N.Y.; daughters, Patricia Ann Nixon, Jessie (Larry) Coleman all of Ochlocknee; sons, Wade (Evelyn) Nixon, Curtis (Lisa) Nixon all of Ochlocknee; sisters, Hattie Mae (Armeta) Butler of Ochlocknee, Annie J. Porter of Lockport; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Nixon of Lockport; brother, Albert (Alberta) Nixon of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Pearlie (James) Smith of Thomasville, Doris Nixon of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Jimmie Lou Kimmons of Monticello, N.Y., Zadie Nixon of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Lorenzo Wright of Jacksonville; aunts, Annie Roberson of Columbus, Sara King of Thomasville, Agnes Ward of Thomasville; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. Two sons preceded him in death, Samuel Nixon and Wayne Nixon.
