DAVID AVERETT'S ESTATE

The papers are in very poor condition, i.e., the paper
crumbles when touched just about.  Little bits keep
falling off.  Anyway, here goes: 

March Term 1838 

"On application it is ordered that Hardy Bryant be
appointed admrs. for the estate of David Averett on his
giving bond and security in the sum of 2500.00 and taking
the usual oath.  It is further ordered that Thomas C.
Wyche,  Thomas Adams, William Ward, James J. Vickery and
Henry Wyche be appointed appraisers for said estate."

I am not sure who this Hardy Bryant is but I have always
wondered if there was a connection with them and the
Averett's.  None of the children that I know of married a
Bryant.  Bryant's seem to always in the same vacinity in
land records and census' (both Mathew and David).  David
and Elizabeth did have a child, Wilson B. Averett and I
never knew for sure what the B stood for and wondered if
it was Bryant.
