A man named Rucker induced Miss Sallie Ogles of Tifton, Ga., a very popular 

young lady of the village, to elope with him. He carried her to various 

places, always making some excuse for not fulfulling his promise of 

marriage. He at last deserted her near Centre, where her father found her 

and took her home. She is a sadder but a much wiser young woman now.
