 TIFTON— Elsie Brogdon Barrentine, 86, of Tifton, formerly of Nashville, died 
Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11 
a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church of Alapaha with the Rev. Jack Smithwick 
officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will 
be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Chris Barrentine, Randy 
Hooley, Jody Bannister, James Watson, Jason Watson, Seth Eddy, Devan 
Barrentine, and Ben Roberts will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Barrentine was born 
January 15, 1922 in Berrien County. Her parents were Ed Brogdon and Alice 
Tucker Brogdon, both deceased. She was also predeceased by her husband, 
Eutychus Eural Barrentine; her brother, Vernice Brogdon; and three sisters, 
Maudine Sims, Annette Bradley and Mildred Powell. She was a homemaker and an 
active member of United Methodist Church of Alapaha. She is survived by two 
sons and one daughter-in-law, Earl and Patricia Barrentine, and Joe Ed 
Barrentine, all of Nashville; two daughters and their husbands, Joanna and 
Jimmy Watson of Nashville and Alice and Max Eddy of Madison, Ala.; one brother, 
Edison Brogdon of Gainesville; one sister, Euetha Harper of Tifton; and 10 
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. You may sign the online guest
