Born March 22, 1925, in Tift County to the late Joe Mark and Bertye Wynn Cravey, she was a homemaker, had been employed at Tifton First Baptist Church in in the nursery department and also at school lunchrooms at several Tift County sc schools. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed canning and fishing. She was a me member of Wayside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Javers Taylor, and her second h husband, Marvin Carr; son, Melvin Taylor who died in December 2008. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Cheryl Sumner of Enigma; five grandchildren, Angela Marie Goforth of Enigma, Gerald Allen Sumner, Jr., of Columbus, OH, Jessie Clark Sumner of Chula, Calvin Jock Taylor of Nashville and Bridget Taylor Milani of Cordele; great-grandchildren, Julia Taylor of N Nashville, Cherish Osborne of Tifton, Evan Goforth of Arizona, Taylor Milani a and Madison Milani, both of Cordele. Funeral services were held May 11 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Revs. Larry Layfield and Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment was in Lawrence Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald Allen Sumner, Jr., Jock Taylor, Clark Sumner, Bobby Goforth, Stavey Hathcock, Bruce Dillard. Albritton Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Revs. Larry Layfield and Ronnie Lawson off officiating. Interment was in Lawrence Cemetery.
