 Oda "Kitty" Rowe Eldridge Conger, 93, of Tifton died November 25, 2008 at her 
residence Born May 28, 1915 in Berrien County to the late Effie Gregory and 
John Carl Rowe Sr., she was also preceded in death by two sons, Milton Eldridge 
and Jack Nelson Eldridge; daughter-in-law, Janet M. Eldridge; sister, Beatrice 
Rowe; four brothers, Oatis, Floyd, Carl Jr., and Felice "Skeet" Rowe. She had 
lived in Tifton since 1974, had worked at the Holiday Inn and was a member of 
Second Baptist Church in Tifton, now Victory Baptist Church. She loved her 
family and was an excellent cook. Survivors include son, Carl Felton Eldridge 
of Tifton; two grandchildren, Judy Eldridge of Valdosta and Jack Felton 
Eldridge of Tifton; great-granddaughter, Mandi Ivester of Valdosta.  A 
graveside service was held at 3 p.m. November 28 at Oakridge Cemetery with the 
Rev. Joseph Crumley officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Hospice 
of Tift Area. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors was in charge of 
arrangements.
