Delmar was 91 years old when he died at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, 

Georgia.  Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson 

Home for Funerals.  His grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.

   Delmar was born August 27,1913 in Murray County, Georgia and was the son of 

Luther Dixon and Minnie Howell Dixon, both deceased.  He was an U.S. Army 

veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific.  He was a member of 

the Grace Baptist Church.

   He is survived by wife, Annie Laura J. Dixon, step son Allen Wayne Croft of 

Tifton, his daughter, Rose Marie Fincher of Tifton, and step daughter, Irene 

Janice Rudeseal of Texas.  He is survived by a brother, Edward Dixon of Omega; 

and sisters, Gladys Gunn of Utah; Ruth Dixon Wolf of Florida; Blanche Dixon 

Norman of Omega, and seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
