                          Pauline K. Howell

 Pauline King Howell, 87 of Tifton, died Saturday, Jan 3, 1998 at Tift Health 
Care.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm today at New River Baptist Church. The 
Rev. R. S. Hayes and the Rev. Ronald Hasty will officiate. Burial will follow 
at Oakridge Cemetery.

 Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

 Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of New River Baptist Church.

 Born Sept. 27, 1910 in Tift County, Mrs. Howell was the daughter of the late 
Mathew Jackson King and the late Dona Arnold King. She was also preceded in 
death by her husband, Archie Lee Howell who died in 1984.

 She was a retired grocer and a member of New River Baptist Church.

 Mrs. Howell is survived by one son, A. R. "Rudy" Howell of Conyers; one 
daughter, Louise Howell Franks of Tifton; two sisters, Ethel McGee of Alapaha 
and Hattie Wiggins of Valdosta; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
