Everson lorieeverson@bellsouth.net February 11, 2012, 2:45 pm The Tifton Gazette 24 June 2004 TIFTON -- Ethel Elder Hutchinson, 88, of Tifton, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at Southern Care in Tifton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, with Dr. Fred Evers and Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garry Griffin, Bob Lawrence, Jason Lawrence, Joe Lawrence Jr., Michael Lawrence and Justin McGriff. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be staying at the home of Joe and Debbie Lawrence, 901 Wiley Branch Road, Tifton. Born February 23, 1916, in Crisp County, Mrs. Hutchinson was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Bessie Jacobs Elder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Mason Hutchinson, who died in 1962 and two sisters. She was retired from the Georgia Agrirama and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by one daughter, Gail Hutchinson Chapman of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Will McGriff of Tifton and Florence Lewis of Cordele; one grandson, Bill (Joanne) Chapman of Orange Park, Fla. and several beloved nieces and nephews.
