He was 72.Born in Ty Ty, Ga., on Feb. 18, 1933, he came to Lake Wales from Tifton, Ga., 62 years ago. He was a master mechanic tile setter. He was an Army veteran. He was a volunteer fireman for the Timberlane Fire Department. He was a member of New Harvest Worship Center in Lake Wales. Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Louetta M. Ivey; son, Joey L. Ivey, Lake Wales; daughters, Marsha Renee Mayne and Kimberly Ann Strickland, both of Lake Wales; brothers, Jimmy Ivey, Lake Wales, David Ivey, Raleigh, N.C., John Ivey, Winter Haven, Marcus Floyd Ivey, Haines City; sisters, Hazel Bryant, Lakeland, Glenda Crews, Labelle; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Harvest Worship Center in Lake Wales.
