Little Items of State Interest 



Tifton – J.D. Taylor of Omega was instantly killed, Charles Elrod of Omega was 

severely hurt and Willis and Walter Mangum of Ocilla were injured at or about 

eight o’clock when an auto in which the four were riding turned turtle six 

miles east of Ocilla.  The party had been to Douglas and was returning to 

Ocilla in Elrod’s car, which he was driving when the auto struck a cow and 

turned over.
