Cleo Luke Pitts
TIFTON -- Florence Cleo ,Mama Cleo, Luke Pitts, 94, of Tifton, died Thursday, 
Oct. 26, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Albritton-
Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Steve Luke officiating. Burial will 
be at the Union Grove Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 
to 9 tonight at Albritton-Beaumont.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born on Jan. 5, 1912, in Berrien County to the late Richard Flim "Dick" Luke 
and Margaret Amy "Mag" Griner Luke, Mama Cleo had worked in the lunchroom of 
Southside (Spencer) Elementary School, was a nurse's aide at Tifton (Beverly) 
Nursing Home and had been the overseer of Patrick's Fishing Paradise and was a 
member of Tift Avenue Church of God.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Pitts; one grandson, Keith Pitts; 
four brothers; and five sisters.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading the Bible and crocheting.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Dot Yancey of Tifton, 
Helen Withers of Brookfield and Edith and Wayne Bannister of Tifton; 14 
grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
