(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 24, 2011, 2:52 pm The Tifton Gazette 12-1-1962 Front Page Ronald Riner Dies; Funeral Rites Pending Ronald Deen Riner, a 36 year old brick mason, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home at Chula. Funeral services will be held in the Tifton Primitive Baptist Church at a time to be announced later. Interment will be in the Tifton Cemetery. Mr. Riner was born Aug. 24, 1926 in Tifft County, son of the late Rufus Deen Riner and Eva Mae Scott Riner, who survives and lives in Tifton. A Navy Veteran of World War II, he had lived in Tift County all of his life. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Dorothy Perkins, whom he married in 1950; three sons, Steven Hugh, Larry Deen, and Randy Bruce, and a daughter, Rhand Gail, all of Chula; two brothers, Lynwood E. Riner of Ocala, Fla. and Gerald D. Riner of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Perkins of Columbus, Mrs. George A. Lloyd of Nahunta, and Mrs. William M. Young of Fairbanks, Alaska.
