Everson lorieeverson@bellsouth.net February 11, 2012, 3:18 pm The Tifton Gazette 17 Jun 2007 LAKELAND, Fla. ó Mack Warren Shiver, 96, of Lakeland, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church. The Rev. Ronny Webb will officiate, with burial to follow at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church, just prior to the service. Mr. Shiver was born on October 19, 1910 in Ty Ty and was the son of James Flemon Mercer Shiver and Elvia Belle Whitfield Shiver, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Odie Branch Shiver, who died in 1997. He moved to Lakeland, Fla., from Tifton in 1952 and was a retired baker for Buttercrust Bakeries in Lakeland, retiring after 23 years. He was a member of Kathleen Baptist Church in Lakeland. Mr. Shiver is survived by three sons, Kenneth Shiver, James Shiver and Bob Shiver, all of Lakeland; one daughter, Kay Rogers of Atlanta; one sister, Ruby Harrod of Lakeland; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren.
