Vera Smith 



ALBANY — Vera Smith, 57, Philema Rd, North Leesburg who died July 19, 2007 at 

her home. 



The funeral service will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 28, 2007 at New Piney 

Grove Baptist Church in Lee County with Apostle Henry Lee Holsey officiating. 

Burial will follow in Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. 



Ms. Smith was born September 12, 1949 to the late Walter Smith and Johnnie Mae 

Roberts Smith in Lee County. 



She was educated in the Lee County School System and later went to Albany State 

College (University) and the University of Georgia. She ultimately became an 

Elementary School Teacher and taught for 30 years in the Tift County School 

System. 



Survivors include two sisters, Angie Kate (Andrew) Atkins of Albany and Nervine 

(James) Smith of Leesburg; two brothers, Elijah (Patricia) Smith of Americus 

and Isaiah of Leesburg
