Mrs. Willis was born January 12, 1925, in Nashville to the late Ernest and Anna Robertson Mathis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Mathis and Bobby Mathis and one sister, Ernestine Rhoden. Mrs. Willis and her husband, Bud, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 28th. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tifton First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Willis was an active member of the Century Women’s Club, the Garden Club and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed cooking and serving. Her children and grandchildren will remember Miss Louise in their hearts forever. Mrs. Willis is survived by her husband, Wilbur Neal (Bud) Willis, Sr. of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Neal and Ruth Willis of Port St. Lucie, FL and Mike and Rhea Willis of Canton; five grandchildren, Karin (Joe) Benado, Jenni (Mark) Cooper, Ryan Willis, Megan Willis and Alyssa Willis; two great- grandchildren, Nicholas Benado and Emily Benado; and numerous nieces and nephews including Mrs. Donna Willis Spanberger. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Benjy Varnell and Rev. Lee Pearson officiating. Interment was in Oakridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Spanberger, Christopher Howe, Bailey Radford, Ryan Willis, Mark Cooper and Joe Benado. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 2053, Tifton, GA 31793 or favorite charity of donor’s choice. Albritton Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
