                   Mr. James Foskey Of Uvalda Passes
 Mr. James Arthur Foskey, age 76 of Rt. 1 Uvalda, died in the Riverside 
Nursing Home, Lumber City Ga., Sunday morning following a long illness.
 He was a native of Treutlen County and had lived in Montgomery County for the 
past 35 years before entering the Nursing home 5 months ago.
 He was a retired a farmer, a retired Deacon of the Alston Baptist Church, and 
a member of the Alston Baptist Church.
 Surviving are his wife; Mrs. Lennie Smith Foskey, Uvalda, Ga.; one daughter, 
Mrs. Thomas Burke, Hardeeville, SC; two sons, Bernard Foskey of Uvalda, Ga. 
and Dorman Foskey of Hardeeville, SC; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Dickerson of 
Savannah, Ga.; three brothers, Rufus Foskey of Uvalda, Herbert Foskey of 
Savannah, and Emory Foskey of Vidalia; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 4:00 in the Smyrna 
Methodist Church with Rev. Milton Smith and Rev. W. E. Flanders and Rev. 
Kennedy Railey officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. The body will be 
at the family residence until the funeral hour. Grandsons will serve as active 
pallbearers.
 Cooper Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge of arrangements.
