Fulford, 63, of Old Ball Park Road, Vidalia, died Monday morning at his residence after a brief illness. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Fulford had resided most of his life in Toombs County. He was a retired Woodsman, a veteran of World War II, a member of the CB Radio Club of Vidalia, and a member of Smith Street Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Hester Fulford of Vidalia; his mother, Frankie F. Fulford of Alston; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtice Beasley of Gray, Mrs. Mildren Powell of Vidalia, and Mrs. Carolyn O' Neal of Lyons; seven brothers, Lamar Fulford of Gray, Henry and Thurston Fulford of Alston, Robert Fulford of Uvalda, DeWitt Fulford of Palatka, Fla., Bill Fulford of Perry, and Willie Frank Smith of Gray, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Smith Street Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Ray Simpson and Rev. Hubert L. Lollis officiating. Interment was in Pinecrest Cemetery. Ronnie L.
