(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net July 1, 2011, 9:00 pm The Vidalia Advance 6-28-1995 Page 8C Mrs. Ella Galbraith Mrs. Ella Janett Galbraith, 68, of Ponderosa Community, Lyons, died Sunday morning, June 18, 1995, in the Camden Medical Center of St. Mary's after an extended illnes. A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Galbraith had resided most of her life in Toombs County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lyons Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Fitch, Lyons; one daughter, Betty Gordy, Lyons; one sons, Billy Cowart, St. Mary's; one stepson, Homer Leroy Fitch, Lyons; two stepdaughters, Patricia Portwood, Vidalia and Angela Fitch, Lyons; two sisters, Lula Bell Thigpen and Mae Thompson, both of Lyons; one brother, Earl Tyson, Lyons; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 20, at 11o'clock from the Hall Stewart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Wommack officiating assisted by Rev. Sam Creamer. Interment followed in the Ohoopee Cemetery. Hall Stewart Funeral Home of Lyons was in charge of funeral arrangements.
