Hester Ralph Leon Hester, 58, of Rt. 1 Box 85 Bloomingdale, died yesterday at Candler General Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Adel and a former resident of Ft. Valley. He had been a resident of Chatham County for 40 years and was a blacksmith with Smith and Kelly Co. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. J. R. Williams and Mrs. S. L. Williams, both of Bloomingdale, Mrs. Clarence Jordan of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Wesley L. Barnett of Faulkville; a son, Roger B. Page of Eau Gallio, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank B. Strong of Savannah Beach and Mrs. Eula B. Horton of Dublin; a brother, Millard Hester of Savannah; 14 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Sipple's Mortuary is in charge. Additional Comments: Ralph was born 20 Sep 1911 to Samuel Oscar "Sam" Hester and Princella "Ella" Beatrice Howard Hester. Georgia death certificaet #011802. His wife was Myrtice Inez Tyson Hester who is also buried at English Eddy Church Cemetery in Toombs County,Georgia.
