Lockley, age 70, of Route 5 Lyons, died at home Monday morning, November 25, 1991 of an apparent heart attack. Born in Tattnall County, he was a son of the late John Lockley and Julia Ann Monroe Lockley. He was a self- employed farmer and land owner and was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Lockley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Tyson Lockley of Lyons; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Pace of Marietta and Mrs. Betty Ann Powell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Taylor of Hazelhurst; a brother, J. W. Lockley of Lyons; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 27, 1991 at 3PM from Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Petty and Rev. Joe Phillips officiating. Interment was in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Lillard, Thurmon Mathis, James Johnson, Preston Mosley, Al Pierce, James Lockley, Eugene Carter, and Julian Lockley.
