                        Mrs. Tommie Ann Burke Moorer
 Mrs. Tommie Ann Burke Moorer, age 61, died Wednesday at the Ogeechee Area 
Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Uvalda, Ga., native was a graduate of 
Hardeeville High School in Hardeeville, S.C. She was a surgical technologist 
and a secretary and moved along with her husband during his career. She 
retired from Georgia Southern University in 2001. She was a member of the 
First Baptist Church and a member of the Emily Fennell Sunday School Class. 
She was a past member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving is her husband of over 40 years, Mason Moorer of Statesboro: two 
sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan and Preston Moses of Jacksonville, Fla., 
and Panda Burke of Hardeeville, S.C.; her parents, Cecil and Altine Burke of 
Hardeeville, S.C.; a nephew, John, and his wife, Sherry, and their children, 
Blake and Megan Carroll of Hardeeville, S.C.; a niece, Jennifer, and her 
husband, Craig Scott, and their children, Jordan and Devin of Hardeeville, S.C.
The funeral service for Mrs. Moorer will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at First 
Baptist Church with Dr. John Waters, Dr. H. William Perry and the Rev. Mike 
McAfee officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Methodist Church in Uvalda.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be G.C. Herrington, Randy Thompson, Roy Thompson, Blake 
Carroll, Preston Moses and Preston Foskey.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Emily Fennell Sunday School 
Class.
The family requests that memorial contribution be made to the First Baptist 
Church, 108 North Main Street, Statesboro, Ga. 30458; or to Ogeechee Area 
Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
