Lyons - Mrs. Mary Collins James , 88, died Thursday evening in Fairview Park 
Hospital of Dublin after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of 
Toombs County, she was a homemaker and a member of Harden's Chapel Methodist 
Church where she was the assistant pianist and a member of the choir. Mrs. 
James was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Herman Eugene Collins in 
1973 and William Leonard James in 2000, and one son, Glynn Eugene Collins in 
2003. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Jewell Parker, Mrs. Roslyn 
Wiggins, and Bobbie and husband Russ McCoy all of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie 
and husband, Ken Talley of Hillard, FL, and Dianne and husband, R.T. Stanley of 
Lyons; four sons and their wives, Ronald and Gaynelle Collins and Dale and 
Marjie Collins all of Jacksonville, Frederick and Joyce Collins of Lakeland, 
FL, and Terry and and DeLainie Collins of Lyons; one sister, Loretta Adams of 
Albany; 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services 
for Mrs. Mary Collins James will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 from Harden's 
Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Lee and Rev. Harold Tucker officiating. 
Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Vidalia. The family 
will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Pallbearers were grandsons Blake Collins, Justin Collins, Kipp Collins, Lee 
Collins, Michael Collins, Phil Collins, Tom Gerber, Brian Stanley, Tracey 
Stanley, Vince Stanley, Douglas Wiggins, and Stephen Wiggins.
